Golden Light 03:53
Golden light Many a pale horse Many a knight Many a poor boy Sold his sight For that golden light Creeping tide Said many a widow To many a bride O, to be young and With time on my side But that creeping tide O, love Will you try To remember me As I am, as I was And so I will be Moonless night Taken by seabirds Taken to flight Taken to marry That old golden light And that moonless night

A Giant Hand 03:00
There was nothing much to do that night When the giants rose out of the sea They took a look and they took a bite But they had no place to be And their fingernails Were silver shells And they wrote their names out in the sand With a giant hand There were words that no man could read When the giants rose out of the waves Strange patterns in the seaweed And laughter in the caves Then the tide came in All was quiet again But they waved from where no man could stand With a giant hand And who would choose to turn to stone And who would choose a giant's throne And what'll we do with all we've known And what'll we do when all the giants are gone There was nothing much to do that night When the giants rose out of the sea They took a look and they took a bite But they had no place to be And their fingernails Were silver shells And they wrote their names out in the sand With a giant hand
4.
Walls that were a house Waiting open mouthed Waiting for the ground To swallow Swallow Let the roof come in Shed your rusted skin Waiting for the wind To follow Follow Who will love you now Who will tear you down You who make no sound Of sorrow Sorrow Crown of green on stone Metal overgrown House you will go home Tomorrow Tomorrow
5.
Neat are the notches where they made their beds O, to life, o, to ruin, where they laid their heads, and Close are the voices of the distant dead And the stone that was lifted by a hand, far away Far away, that was lifted by a hand So we imagine we are not the first To look out on this land with a burning thirst, bound Up in the scent of the salted waves Are the eyes that were carried by the wind, far away Far away, that were carried by the wind Would they have wondered of the days to come Of the strength of our hearts to be overcome, and When we remember what was known so well Will they speak of us then from the long far away Far away, will they speak of us then Will they speak of us then from the long far away Far away, will they speak of us then Will they speak of us then from the long far away Far away...

Old lopsided Lightning bolt Until the wind prevails You'll stand there On your sinking mound And count forgotton tales Your sundial shadow Casts no doubt On the treachery of time Unravelled slowly To the ground As the centuries unwind The lives of men Have passed like smoke Beneath your watchful gaze And many sought The wisdom that Your lichen beard betrays But even you With all your might Will someday lean no more Your sparkling skin It turns to sand As seas around you roar And so it goes For all that stand And all that come to rest For all that watch The changing land The ancient and the blessed
7.
The summer now is ending The hired-guns preparing The greylag geese are dying For only living free They were not always outlaws Once rare, respected elders Now those that praised their feathers Decide their destiny When geese were few and failing Then geese were worth preserving But now the geese are thriving They are the enemy For geese will grow in number And geese will go to plunder But if geese should meet the farmer Then geese will cease to be
8.
Come rose-red morning sky Come stone of serpentine These colours are not mine Where do they go to die Come waning crescent moon Come distant, silent wave O, teach us to be brave And will we see you soon Come flutter of the heart Come murmur of the beast What's within will be released And all will come apart Come sickness in our dreams Come sand between our toes A pattern no one knows Is never all it seems Come treachery and greed Come kind forgiving night A welcome warm and bright From those already freed Come twinkle in the eye Come feather on the breeze A moment now to seize Eternity to sigh
9.
At the edge of the land Where the seabirds call Where the skies collide And the soft rains fall Where the night is day And the day gives flight To the dusk and the dawn Of a second sight Where the stones that stand With the years confide In the living hand Of an ancient guide And the seconds slow And the hunger dims And the love I know Knows me from the winds And the love I know Knows me from the winds And the love I know Knows me And the love I know Knows me from the winds And the love I know Knows me from the winds And the love I know Knows me
